Floral Friday Feat. Orna Painted Candles
This week has flown by! It has been filled with family, friends, kids’ swim lessons, and many long walks in the sunshine. When I first moved back to my Central Valley hometown, I was dreading the beginning of summer and the heat. Surprisingly, it has not bothered me one bit. In fact, I can’t get enough of it. After spending several years in a shady forest, it feels incredible to have access to so much sunshine!
Our garden has been loving it too. The flowers on our pole bean, eggplant, and squash plants are slowly turning into delicious vegetables and the roses, hibiscus, and dahlias are in full bloom. For the first time in a very long time, I feel like I am living in a place that is alive and thriving. There is nothing quite like browsing a Central Valley farmers’ market in the sunshine. The produce selection here is beyond amazing.
To celebrate the flowers on this Floral Friday, I’ve chosen to feature floral painted candles by Orna! I discovered Orna a while back and have loved every painted candle that has popped up in my Instagram feed. They also pair well with the brass candle holders we all love.
I am definitely putting some Orna candles on my wishlist for our future home. They fit in perfectly with the home of my dreams. The colors. The flowers. I can’t wait to make that home a reality – filled with handcrafted and vintage wares from independent shops.
Do you have a favorite independently run shop that sells vintage or handcrafted goods? Do you decorate with Orna candles? Tell me all about it in the comment section below!
